Project Profile and brief
Wilson Botanic Park is located within the City of Casey; about 40 minute drive from Melbourne CBD. Perched on the edge of the basalt lake where it was once a quarry it provides perfect bird viewing over Berwick and beyond. The park is extensively used by local residents, international visitors and families enjoying its picnic facilities. Council committed money is the this year’s budget to give part of the park around the lake a well needed face lift. The new amphitheatre and associated works will be used to host weddings, carols by candlelight, yoga classes and more. The works have been very well received by users so far.
GR was successful at tender stage for the design and construct Lakeside Lawn and platforms. General scope of works consisted of the following:

– Drainage lines
– Architectural concrete walls and stairs
– Timber platforms and sub structure
– Supply and install LED lighting
– Handrails, tactile and stair nosing’s
