The bridge span extends for 30m with a width of 2.5m. fabricated in three separate sections the trusses were assembled in the GRDC yard in Port Melbourne then transported to the reserve by extendable crane trucks. On site the three sections were joined and lifted into place by a 100 tonne crane. The bridge was designed to sit above the q100 flood level in accordance with Melbourne Water requirements.
