Boardwalk – Nagambie

GRDC recently completed a disabled compliant boardwalk around the lake Nagambie foreshore at Jacobson’s Lookout.

GRDC designed and constructed this durable class 1 hardwood timber boardwalk atop galvanized steel screw piles. The steel screw piles provided the perfect solution at this site as a 14t machine could be used to accurately place the piles through the difficult ground conditions and around the many immovable obstructions.

The project included the installation of rock filled gabion walls, disable access to both ends, sloping boat access & viewing platforms, stainless steel boat mooring and ladders together with solar lighting and bollards.
